How to Make Gulab Jamun at home - Indian Dessert/Sweet Recipe

 

Gulab jamun is a milk-solids -based dessert, similar to a dumpling. It is popular in countries of South Asia such as India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh. It is widely known as Lal-Mohan also.In india every people love to serve this gulab jamun in any kind of festival.So here i want show you how to make these awesome gulab jamuns.Lets see how to make .

Ingredients:
Milk powder              1 cup
All purpose flour        1/4 cup
Sugar                     1 1/4 cup
Water                     1 cup
Cardamom              2-3
Baking powder        1/4 spoon
Yellow food color      optional
Milk                        2-3 spoon
Butter                     2-3 spoon
Pistachio                for garnishing

Method:
In a bowl add the milk powder, all purpose flour and baking powder.Mix well.Now add butter in it and mix it .After that add 2 spoon of milk and make it into a dough.You can add 1 drop of yellow food color into the dough but it is totally optional.If you don't like then skip it.Now set aside for 10 minutes.In a sauce pan take 1 cup of water.Add the sugar and cardamom and let the sugar dissolve. After 2-3 minutes sugar syrup will be done.Now make the gulab jamun balls.Divide the dough into ten equal parts and give it around shape using your pumps.In a pan take 2 cups of vegetable oil.For gulan jamun oil shouldn't be too hot.Check it with a  tiny piece of gulab jamun dough.If it is starts sizzling then oil is perfect.Now put the gulab jamun balls and rotate the hot oil with a spatula. Let it fry slowly.After 7-8 minutes gulab jamuns will be done.Remove from the hot oil and put it into the sugar syrup.Let it soak for few minutes and your gulab jamuns are ready to serve.Enjoy this gulab jamun with your favorite festival.I am sure your family, friends and kids will love it.Enjoy...
