Hariyali Chicken Kebab or Green Chicken Kabab
Hariyali Chicken Kabab or tikka is a chicken dish originating in South Asia where it remains popular in both Pakistan and India. It is traditionally small pieces of boneless chicken baked using skewers in a clay oven called a tandoor after marinating in Coriander leaves,mint leaves,spices and yogurt - essentially a boneless version of tandoori chicken.But we can prepare it in Oven also.For this Hariyali Chicken Kabab or Green Chicken Kabab we need some ingredients.Lets see what we will need.
Ingredients:
Boneless Chicken 350 gms
Thick Yogurt 2-3 spoon
Mustered oil 2-3 spoon
Mint leaves 1 cup
Coriander leaves 1 cup
Green Chilli 2 chopped
Turmeric powder 1/2 spoon
Red chilli powder 1 spoon
Garam masala powder 1 spoon
Fenugreek leaves powder 1/2 spoon
Cumin powder 1/2 spoon
Coriander powder 1 spoon
Black paper powder 1/4 spoon
Salt to taste or 1 spoon
Ginger garlic paste 2 spoon
Onion pieces 1 medium size
Tomato pieces 2
Method :
First make the green paste using coriander leaves,mint leaves and chopped green chilli.In a mixer jar add the coriander leaves,mint and green chilli and add little amount of water and make smooth paste.Now mix the other dry spice powder with the thick yogurt and mix it well.Now add the green paste into the spice paste and mix it well.Then add 1 spoon of mustered oil into the paste and again mix it.Now add chicken into this and mix it with the green paste. Then add the onion and tomato pieces and again mix it and put it into the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.After 1 hour now put the marinated chicken into a bamboo skewer. 1st put 1 piece of chicken then 1 piece of tomato then add 1 piece of marinated onion and repeat this up to the skewer looks nice and perfect.Now complete the skewers and put it into the baking try.Now put some mustered oil into the chicken skewers using brush or spoon. My oven is preheated in 230 degree for 10 minutes now put this chicken into the preheated oven for 15 minutes.After 15 minutes now flip the other side and put some oil into the other side and again put it into the oven for 15 minutes and they will be done.
After 30 minutes in 230 degree oven my hariyali chicken kabab is done and just place it into your serving plate.Garnish with carrot,sliced onion and coriander leaves in the side.Hariyali chicken kabab is ready to serve.Try this hariyali chicken kabab and i am sure your family ,friends and kids will love it so much.Enjoy....
