Butter Chicken - Classic Indian Chicken Recipe 

 Butter chicken or murgh makhani is a classic Indian recipe. Murgh Makhani (Butter chicken) is typically served with chicken on the bone in India and served off the bone in the United States, United Kingdom and others Western counties. Authentic Indian preparations are typically more spicy and less sweet than preparations served in Western countries.For this Butter chicken we need few ingredients.Lets see what we need.

Ingredients:

Chicken                         cut into small pieces
Onion                            1
Tomato                          2
Ginger garlic paste         2 spoon
Sugar                            1/2 spoon
Butter                           1 cup or 100 gm
Cashew nut                   2 spoon
Salt to taste
Heavy cream                 1/2 cup
Fenugreek leaves           1/2 spoon
Cumin seeds                  1/2 spoon
Black paper powder      1/4 spoon
Garam masala powder   1/2 spoon 
Turmeric powder           1/4 spoon         
Cumin powder               1/2 spoon 
Coriander powder         1 spoon
Red chilli powder           1 spoon
Red food color               2-3 drops

Method:

First add black paper powder and pinch of salt into the chicken and marinate it well.In a pan add 1/3 of butter and let it melt.Once the butter melt fry the chicken for about 4-5 minute in medium heat. After 4-5 minute chicken is cooked and now take out from the butter and set aside.Now add cumin seeds in the rest of the butter.Then add onion and give a mix.Then add turmeric powder and again give it a mix.After few second add the ginger garlic paste in it and mix it. Then add tomato into this.Now add salt into this. Then add cumin powder,coriander powder,red chilli powder and dry fenugreek leaves into this.Now mix all the spices and tomato and onions together.Now put the lid on and let it cook for 2 minute. After 2 minute give it a mix and break the uncooked tomatoes with your spatula.Then add cashew nut.Then add 1 cup water into this and mix it.our tomatoes cooked well and now put it into your blender and blend it for few second.Our spicy tomato gravy is done.Now in a another pan add rest of the butter and let it melt.Now pour the tomato gravy into the butter and stir it.Then add the fried chicken into this.Add 2-3 drops of red food color into this tomato gravy.Then add the cream into this and mix it.Next add pinch of sugar and mix it.Now add garam masala into it and give a good mix.Our butter chicken is ready to serve.This is a very yummy chicken recipe.Just try this and i am sure your family ,friends and kids will love it.
